The worlds of fine art and animation have long been aligned through the talents of hundreds of female artists at the Walt Disney Studios. Mindy Johnson, historian and author of the groundbreaking book Ink & Paint – The Women of Walt Disney’s Animation, explores the creative and technical advances of leading women artists whose contributions expanded and defined many of Walt Disney’s classic animated films. Presented in conjunction with Something Revealed, the work of Mary Blair and Nelbert Chouinard – featured in the exhibition – along with many more California artists, will be explored in this fascinating presentation featuring original clips and classic animation.
