Participation in women’s clubs has waned. However, many still operate and influence their communities.
Those that still exist adjusted in response to societal changes. A committee under the direction of the Caltech Women’s Club (CWC) Board is working on a strategic plan to adapt the CWC to such changes, allowing us to fulfill our mission of promoting friendship and the sharing of mutual interests across the Caltech communities of campus, JPL, Associates, trustees, observatories, and the Huntington for years to come.
Why are we here and what are we doing? What are we doing well? The answers to these questions will be a collaboratively developed strategic plan that focuses the energy, resources, and time of everyone in the organization. Once we have a plan, we will provide direction to move from a plan to action so that we continue to fulfill our mission of promoting friendship and the sharing of mutual interests in a way that welcomes newcomers and nurtures our multigenerational membership.
